Next Sunday at 3.00 p.m. (NB: no 11.00 a.m. Mass)

Following months of meetings and planning, the Bicentenary Celebrations for  Dunmore Church are just upon us. The main event – Concelebrated Mass of Thanksgiving & Re-Dedication – will be celebrated at 3.00 p.m. next Sunday. Regular Mass-goers should take note that this Mass will take place of the normal 11.00 a.m. Mass that day.

All are invited to join in the festivities and, if you have placed your name in the register at the back of the church, you are invited to the meal in the Community Hall afterwards (catering preparations, numbers, etc., require this).

As well as the area’s residents, relatives and friends, former priests of the parish who served in Dunmore, are also invited guests.

Great credit is due to all who gladly ‘put their shoulder to the wheel’ to make this historic milestone become a reality.

Two weeks later, October 21st at 3.00 p.m., the Johnswell Community will host their own festivities as they set out to mark the Bicentenary of their church, The Church of St John The Baptist. Again, for catering purposes. it’s important to sign the book at the back of each church if you are planning to attend the meal afterwards.
