The death has taken place of Canon Tommy Murphy PP, Ballyragget and late of the Rower.

Fr Tommy served in this parish for many years and is well remembered here.  He was instrumental in forming O’Loughlin’s GAA club. He was also a founding member of the No Name Club. Fr. Tommy never lost contact with the people in St John’s parish and his passing brings sadness to many who will miss his kindness and friendship. RIP
